Stephen Jones has expressed his sympathy for injured British Lions star Tomas O'Leary.
Munster and Ireland scrum-half O'Leary will miss next month's tour to South Africa after fracturing his left ankle in the 29-10 win over the Scarlets.
And fly-half Jones reckons the cruel setback is a huge blow to the Lions' hopes.
Jones said: "It's disappointing for Tomas and I really feel for him. He's been fantastic this season and it's a sad loss for the Lions.
"But we have to be professional and play the remaining games with a strong mindset. Rugby is a contact sport and it's inevitable injuries will happen."
Munster edged closer to the Magners League title by defeating the Scarlets last weekend.
And Jones added: "Munster were excellent especially around the breakdown but it was a spirited effort."
