Worcester Warriors are one step away from returning the European Challenge Cup final after holding off a brave second half revival from Brive to close out the match 29-18.
The French side found themselves 17 points in arrears after a blistering opening by the English side, but then hit back after the break to give themselves a shot at a semi-final clash with Bourgoin.
Two tries from South African centre Ronnie Cook were at the heart of the Brive fight back and, with 10 minutes left to they were only four points adrift.
It took some brilliant work from Warriors skipper Pat Sanderson to keep Brive at bay with some great smuggling work in his owe 22.
And then the home side broke clear to set up a try for wing Marcel Garvey. That try, converted by Mathew Jones made the game safe at the death and gave the Warriors the chance to make amends for last season's final to 24-16 defeat to Bath.
