Gloucester number eight Gareth Delve will be available for the Heineken Cup opener against the Dragons next Friday evening.
Delve has had a three-week suspension for striking London Irish's George Stowers at the Madejski Stadium on 13 September reduced to two on appeal.
It means he will miss Sunday's game at Leeds in the Premiership, but is free to play in the game against Paul Turner's much improved side.
After impressing in the opening round of the Magners League, the Dragon's may have lost twice but have shown that they have the personnel to challenge the top sides in Europe.
And with Gloucester failing to impress in the first month of the Guinness Premiership, the fans at Kingsholm could fear an upset.
The two teams have never faced each other in European competition.
Meanwhile, A charge against Gloucester Rugby and England winger Lesley Vainikolo of allegedly causing grievous bodily harm has been dropped. Vainikolo, 30, was accused of punching Jake Alicker outside a nightclub in Bath in October 2008.
A jury failed to reach a verdict at his trial at Bristol Crown Court earlier this month. The Crown Prosecution Service had been considering a retrial but has now decided to discontinue its case.
