Mark Cueto, the England and Sale Sharks wing, has extended his contract with the double Amlin Challenge Cup champions for another four years, making him the longest serving player in the club's history.
Cueto joined Sale Sharks in 2000 and, during his first season as a professional player, went on to become the Premiership leader try scorer in 2002. He has amassed 66 tries in the championship in 131 matches. The 29-year-old won Amlin Challenge Cup finals honours in 2002 against Pontypridd and in 2005 against Pau, when he scored one of the Sharks' four tries.
He has so far won 33 England caps and was selected for the 2005 British and Irish Lions squad.
Cueto declared: "I have played all my professional rugby at Sale Sharks and I want to finish my career here too. I have some great times and want to help Kingsley and Jason to bring more trophies to the club."
Sale will play their Heineken Cup Round 3 against Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday, 13 December (12.45pm).
