London Wasps utility back Ricky Flutey has signed a two year contract with the 1997 Heineken Cup winners Brive and will make the move at the end of the season.
The former Hurricanes player will join England team-mate Andy Goode and 2003 World Cup winners Ben Cohen and Steve Thompson as part of the growing England Diaspora in Brive.
The New Zealand native came to England in 2005 and started his European rugby career with London Irish, where he reached the 2006 European Challenge Cup final only to be defeated by Gloucester.
After two years with the Exiles and having notched up 272 points for the club, Flutey joined London Wasps. In his first season in High Wycombe he was named as the Player of the Year at the PRA awards and won a Guinness Premiership title. His impressive club form earned him an England call up and the 29 year-old made his first international cap in the autumn test against the Pacific Islanders.
Fellow Wasps players Tom Palmer and James Haskell will also move to France this summer, having agreed contracts with Stade Français Paris.
Brive have qualified for the European Challenge Cup quarter-finals and will play against the 2008 tournament finalists Worcester Warriors on Saturday, 11 April at 1.00 pm.
