Marconnet's call up is the only change in the squad named by Head Coach Marc Lièvremont for the Round 3 Six Nations clash with Wales at the Stade de France on Friday 27 February.
The ERC Elite award winner for 50 Heineken Cup caps last played international rugby in 2007 against the Wales and was ruled out of the Rugby World Cup with a serious knee ligament injury which sidelined him for 11 months
The 32 year-old will join up with Metropolitan club-mates Dimitri Szarzewski and Lionel Beauxis at next week's training camp at Marcoussis.
