Leicester Tigers lost a nail biting battle with Munster in Round 1, and now return to the scene of their 2002 Heineken Cup triumph to face Cardiff Blues next weekend…
Cardiff Blues and Wales flanker Robin Sowden-Taylor took time our from his recuperation to help out in the ticket office ahead of the Blues big match against Leicester Tigers this Sunday.
"It would be good to have as many supporters as possible on the day and they can get behind the team. It should be a great occasion for everyone and hopefully we'll see a victory for the Blues," he said.
The Blues are reporting sales of well over 10,000 for the Millennium Stadium match after deciding the lure of the Tigers would outstretch the Cardiff Arms park capacity of 13000.
Teams within the Cardiff Blues region also enjoyed great success last season winning a number of competitions. To celebrate the achievements of the teams they will parade their trophies around the Millennium Stadium pitch during half time at the Cardiff Blues v Leicester Tigers in what promises to be a great day.
And Sowdon-Taylor admits confidence is high in the Blues squad after a series of good recent results.
"The boys have been playing well especially against Wasps and Saracens. Were hitting the form we hope to take in to Europe and hopefully will stand us in good stead for the rest of the season," he added.
