Mosese Luveitasau, Cardiff Blues, was cleared of the allegation of dangerous tackling.
Mosese Luveitasau, the Cardiff Blues wing cited following the Pool 4 Heineken Cup Round 1 match against Bourgoin on Saturday, 21 October, 2006, appeared before an independent Disciplinary Committee in Dublin today (Tuesday, 31 October, 2006).
The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Gordon Black (Ireland), was for an alleged dangerous tackle in contravention of Law 10.4 (e).
The independent Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Hugh Logan (Ireland) and also comprising Mark McParland and Phil Orr (both Ireland) found that the player had not committed an act of foul play and therefore the citing was not upheld.
Law 10.4 (e): Dangerous tackling: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously.
Both parties were advised of the right to appeal.
