Three players were cited after Round 2 of the Heineken Cup.
Three players are due to appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of citings lodged against them following the Round 2 Heineken Cup matches on the weekend 27 / 28 / 29 October.
Northampton Saints v Border Reivers - Pool 6 - Franklin's Gardens - Saturday, 28 October, 2006.
The citings lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Denis Templeton (Ireland), are:
Ross Ford (Border Reivers No 2) - Punching. Alleged contravention of Law 10.4 (a).
Chris Budgen (Northampton Saints No 3) - Stamping. Alleged contravention of Law 10.4 (b).
Edinburgh v Leinster - Pool 2 - Murrayfield - Sunday, 29 October, 2006.
The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, John Byett (England), is:
Owen Finegan (Leinster No 18) - Stamping. Alleged contravention of Law 10.4 (b).
The independent Disciplinary Committee will be convened as soon as is practicable.
Law 10.4 (a) Punching or striking: A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).
Law 10.4 (b): Stamping or trampling: A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.
