Three Toulouse players appeared before an independent Disciplinary Committee in London today.
All three players were cited by Iain Goodall, the Citing Commissioner for the Round 1 Heineken Cup Pool 5 match against Ulster Rugby at Ravenhill on Saturday, 21 October, 2006. The three players appeared before independent Disciplinary Committees chaired by Jeff Blackett (England) and also consisting of Rob Flockhart (Scotland) and Jeremy Summers (England),
Salvatore Perugini: The independent Disciplinary Committee found that the player had recklessly struck an opponent with his head. The Committee imposed a sanction of suspension of five weeks up to an including Monday, 11 December.
Omar Hasan: The independent Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Jeff Blackett (England) and also consisting of Rob Flockhart (Scotland) and Jeremy Summers (England), found that the player had not committed an act of foul play and therefore the citing was not upheld.
Trevor Brennan: The independent Disciplinary Committee found the player guilty of trampling and the citing was upheld. However, the Committee determined that the offence would not have warranted a red card and decided no sanction should be imposed.
All parties were advised of the right to appeal.
