The ERC Board of Directors has imposed fines of Euros 5,000 on Toulouse and Rugby Calvisano for breaches of Heineken Cup team announcement regulations regarding the clubs' Rounds 1 and 2 Heineken Cup matches.
The regulations - requiring accurate teams to be announced to ERC and the media at fixed times before each round of Heineken Cup and European Challenge Cup matches - were introduced this season following consultation with the Clubs, members of media and ERC Broadcast partners to enhance the stature and promotion of the ERC organised tournaments.
Toulouse have applied to appeal the fine.
Heineken Cup Commercial Rules Fine
The ERC Board of Directors has imposed fines of Euros 5,000 on Sale Sharks and Edinburgh Rugby for breaches of the Heineken Cup Commercial Rules with regard to the clubs' Round 2 games against Rugby Calvisano and Leinster Rugby respectively.
Sale Sharks have applied to appeal the fine.
