Leinster boss Michael Cheika knows Agen will put everything into beating his team in this weekend's Heineken Cup clash...
Cheika was speaking to journalists at the press conference to announce his 22 man squad to tackle the Frenchman at Lansdowne Road on Saturday, (k.o 5.35pm)
And Cheika took a moment to reflect of a good victory over Ulster in the Magners League last weekend before he went on to discuss the big match this weekend. "The players needed a few moments of recovery after that game! It was a very beneficial game for us and we took a lot of positives from it into this week."
And coach Cheika will hope that his side take the positives from last week's performance with them when they play Agen"One thing for sure is that the (Agen) will come out at us with everything.
"They're a strong group of players with a major attacking weapon in (Rupeni) Caucaunibuca. He is a brilliant talent but we can't build a strategy to deal with him on his own.
"He has scored a lot of tries in the French League over the last two years, so there's no way you can devalue his talent. If we double or triple team him then we'll forget about the others. But we've got a few weapons of our own. Remember, he'll have to deal with Shane Horgan."
"Girvan (Dempsey) is available. There are no doubts about him. In fact he might have even played last week but when you've got players of the calibre of Luke Fitzgerald and Rob Kearney at your disposal then there's no need to take a risk.
"Christian (Warner) has a big chance of playing but we haven't picked the final squad yet. Last week's game in Ulster will have nothing to do with our selection this week."
Leinster are also supporting the 'Welcome Home' Charity. Welcome Home is a registered charity which raises money to support Fr. Peter McVerry in his work with young homeless people in Dublin. Welcome Home has been raising money through organised events and a Christmas Appeal since 1990 and the Christmas Appeal is supported by Leinster Rugby and sponsored by Bank of Scotland (Ireland).
And Cheika said. "It's easy to lose the run of yourself with the Heineken Cup, Magners League, November internationals or whatever else going on.
"Homelessness is something real in society that affects real people. Rugby is only a game after all. You've got to keep that sense of perspective. Sadly there a lot of people out there without homes, or without parents and I know how hard it can be living away from my own family at Christmas.
"Welcome Home is an important charity for us to support, especially at Christmas."
