With the build-up to the Dublin 2013 European club rugby finals intensifying by the day, the four elite clubs of ASM Clermont Auvergne, Toulon, Leinster Rugby and Stade Francais Paris, who are focused on their quest for Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup silverware respectively, won't be the only clubs with Europe on their mind over the weekend of 17 and 18 May.

Pearson to Referee Play-Off

Dave Pearson (England) has been appointed to referee the Heineken Cup play-off match between Newport Gwent Dragons and Overmach Rugby Parma.
The winner of the play-off - which will be televised live by Sky Sports, S4C and Sky Italia - will claim the 24th and final place in next season's Heineken Cup tournament.
The match kicks-off at 7.45 pm at Rodney Parade on Friday, 2 June.
Newport Gwent Dragons earned the play-off place as they were the highest finishers from the Irish, Scottish and Welsh teams in the 2005 / 2006 Celtic League who failed to automatically qualify for European club rugby's premier competition.
Overmach Rugby Parma were the highest placed Super 10 team of the unsuccessful Italian semi-finalists. A year ago Cardiff Blues qualified for the 2005 / 2006 Heineken Cup by beating Viadana 38-9 in Brescia.
The touch judges at Rodney Parade will be fellow English officials Chris White and Andrew Pearce with Geoff Warren the TMO (television match official).
