Toulouse's star second row Fabien Pelous will miss the Heineken Cup semi-final against Leicester Tigers on April 24 (kick-off 15:30).
Fabien Pelous suffered an injury to his right medial ligament just four minutes into his side's French championship match against Bourgoin last Saturday. This is a recurrence of an injury the Toulouse captain suffered from two seasons ago, and is a major problem for the two-times European champions as they prepare for the make-or-break match up with Leicester in two weeks time. Following a scan, medical officials say it may be up to 10 weeks before Pelous makes a return to competitive rugby - ruling him out of the semi-final, and final, should Toulouse beat the Tigers. Toulouse suffered a 22-6 by league leaders Bourgoin, and their championship challenge is fading, making their European charge all the more crucial for Toulouse. Pelous' absence is an added headache for Noves, who is currently monitoring the progress of a number of players on the injury list. Grégory Lamboley has a hematoma on his right knee, Jean-Baptiste Ellisalde has damage to his right knee ligaments and Jean Bouilhou has a seriously broken nose.
Toulouse' Team Doctor has stated Lamboley and Ellisalde's injuries are not serious, but Bouilhou's injury is more worrying and he is to see a specialist this week.
