Leicester Tigers could be without Martin Corry for their Heineken Cup semi-final showdown with Toulouse at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday - but inspirational skipper Martin Johnson looks set to be free to lead the former double champions.
Test No 8 Corry was red carded in the 19-17 defeat by Saracens that cost the Tigers top spot in the Zurich Premiership, his case being heard in Coventry tomorrow (Tuesday). But the hearing for former British and Irish Lions and England captain and lock Johnson, who received his third yellow card of the campaign in the match, is set to be held next week.
Toulouse also have major injury problems of their own, lock Romain Millo-Chlusky, the player set to replace injured club and country captain Fabien Pelous, suffering a head injury in the weekend's 28-10 victory over Clermont Auvergne. Flanker Jean Bouilhou had already joined Pelous in being ruled out for Sunday.
Dimitri Yachvili produced another faultless kicking display as Biarritz Olympique left Brive with a valuable 24-18 away win and Stade Francais Paris - who face Biarritz at Parc des Princes on Saturday - made sure all three French teams in the Heineken Cup semi-finals go into their matches on the back of victories.
But the Parisians 24-15 win against Castres Olympique came at a considerable cost, fly half David Skrela forced off injured before half-time to join Juan Hernandez, Gonzalo Quesada and Brian Liebenberg out of the running for the Biarritz Olympique clash.
