Dimitri Szarzewski, the Stade Francais Paris hooker, will appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee in Dublin on Tuesday, 8 November.
The hearing arises from a citing lodged against him following the Round 2 Heineken Cup Pool 3 match between Stade Francais Paris and Leicester Tigers at Stade Charlety on Saturday, 29 October.
The hearing had been scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, 3 November, but following a successful application for a postponement by the player's representatives to the Chairman of the independent Disciplinary Committee, Mr. Brian McLoughlin, the hearing date was changed.
The independent Disciplinary Committee will comprise Brian McLoughlin of
the IRFU (Chairman), George Spotswood (IRFU) and Iain Goodall (SRU).
The citing, lodged by Citing Commissioner Ray Wilton (WRU) against Mr.
Szarzewski, is for alleged contravention of Law: 10.4 (a) / 10.4 (k) in the second half of the game.
Law 10.4 (a) Punching or striking. A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).
Law 10.4 (k) Acts contrary to good sportsmanship. A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship in the playing enclosure.
