Sale Sharks' prop Lionel Faure has received a six-week ban which will rule him out of Sales' back to back games against Castre.
Faure was sent off in a domestic match against Leeds Tykes last Saturday for punching former All Blacks scrum-half Justin Marshall during Sharks' 17-11 victory at Headingley.
The ex-Pau forward had already been suspended by his club, and the six-week punishment was imposed by a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in London.
Faure will be available to play again on 18 December but Sale will play Pool 1 oppontes Castre twice before that date.
The European Challenge Cup champions Sale travel to Castre in Round 3 on Friday 9 December and host the former European Shield champions on Friday, 16 December in Round 4.
