An ERC Board decision is expected next week with regard to the European Challenge Cup Pool 1 Round 2 game between Viadana v Narbonne, which was abandoned due to weather conditions.
Irish referee David Kean was forced to abandon the game played at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella in Viadana early in the second half due to severe fog with the score at 14 v 20 to Narbonne. The try count was two to one in favour of the French visitors.
The decision on whether the game will be replayed or if the score as of when the game was abandoned will stand rests with the ERC Board who are expected to announce a decision early next week.
Viadana will host Bristol Rugby in Round 3 of the new look European Challenge Cup while Narbonne will travel to Sixways to the play former Heineken Cup champions Northampton Saints.
