Friday, 11 February marks 100 days until the kick-off for the 10th Heineken Cup final, to be played in Edinburgh on Sunday, 22 May.
Scotland will be staging the climax of European club rugby's premier tournament for the first time and, despite eight teams still being in the hunt for prestigious cup final places, advance ticket sales for Murrayfield are already at the 28,000 point.
Former double champions Toulouse and Leicester Tigers are through to the last eight, along with Stade Francais Paris, Biarritz Olympique, Leinster, Munster, Northampton Saints and Newcastle Falcons.
The quarter-finals will be played on the first weekend of April, 2001 finalists Stade Francais Paris announcing they would be playing their match against Newcastle Falcons at Parc des Princes, which has a capacity of over 40,000.
Toulouse will clash with Northampton Saints at Le Stadium (37,000) while Leinster's tie against the Tigers at Lansdowne Road could well see the tournament record for a quarter-final attendance smashed with the 48,000 plus venue filled to capacity.
The mark currently stands at the 46,000 who were at Lansdowne Road when Leinster met Biatrritz Olympique in 2003, Leinster announced that they have already hit the 40,000 barrier for their Saturday, 2 April showdown with the Tigers.
It all adds up to the distinct probability that the tournament high for quarter-final attendances - the 110,800 who went through the turnstiles for the four matches in 2002 / 2003 - will be comfortably bettered.
Close to 50 players with Heineken Cup quarter-finals teams will have been involved in the opening two rounds of the RBS Six Nations after this weekend's fixtures and, although no teams from Wales, Scotland or Italy have qualified for the knock-out stages, players from all three countries are set to feature in the quarter-finals.
The Bergamasco brothers, Mauro and Mirco, are vital players for both Italy and Stade Francais Paris; Stuart Grimes (Newcastle Falcons) and Tom Smith (Northampton Saints) are fighting for the Scottish cause while new Toulouse recruit Gareth Thomas is thriving on the responsibility of the Welsh captaincy.
