Munster star Ronan O'Gara has been ruled out of next weekend's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Biarritz Olympique.
O'Gara's miserable time in Wales in recent weeks was capped on Friday night with a knee injury that forced him from the field in the first half of the 24-8 win over Newport Gwent Dragons. The previous Saturday, he was dragged off the field early in the Six Nations loss to Wales.
"It's a medial ligament strain and he's out of the quarter-final," said Munster coach Alan Gaffney. "The good news is that he'll be fit to play if we make the Cup semi-finals in late April."
Another piece of good news for Munster fans is the arrival yesterday of Samoan legend Brian Lima.
The powerful winger - nicknamed "The Chiropractor" because of his brutal tackling - is fit and will play a part in next Sunday's match against Biarritz in Spain.
