Leicester Tigers' Martin Corry suffered a dislocated elbow in Leicester's 28-13 win at Gloucester and will be out of action for up to six weeks
The No.8 looks will miss the Tigers' crucial back-to-back Heineken Cup pool games against Biarritz Olympique and Calvisano in the next two weeks.
"It is a big disappointment, and a big blow to us," said Leicester coach John Wells. "It is a dislocated elbow and it looks as though he will be out for six weeks. There is no doubt that we are going to miss him."
Corry was in outstanding form for England in the autumn Tests against Canada, South Africa and Australia after taking over from Lawrence Dallaglio.
As for the match itself, Wells added: "We will take the result, but for vast tracts of that game, we were
out-played. Let's be honest, at times, Gloucester were the better team.
"If we hadn't taken our chances, then we would have been staring at a defeat. We set ourselves standards, we will have to play a lot better against Biarritz next week."
