"Although we lost the game at Vicarage Road, we were not really disappointed by the result," he said.

"Playing Saracens away was always going to be a big task and we could have come away with a far bigger margin of defeat. We knew that the home leg was going to be the easier game for us and by keeping the score down we have kept an aggregate victory possible."

The French side have been lucky as far as injuries are concerned and are hopeful for an even stronger side being available for the home leg on Sunday. "We may have prop Damien Minassian returning to the squad before the weekend to strengthen the front row. We suffered no injuries in the away fixture so our squad is looking pretty full for the game," he said.

Brive are planning to play their own game this weekend and will attack the London team in the same way as they would a Top 16 opponent.

"Although the English have a different way of playing to the French, we will prepare for this weekend's game in the same way as we would for any other fixture," he said.

"We will play our own game and hope that our team's strengths and the home advantage will be enough to get us through to the semi-finals."
