Steve Thompson will lead Northampton Saints out against Glasgow Rugby at Franklin's Gardens on Friday night telling his players to dismiss the Scots' poor Pool 3 record in this season's tournament
"Glasgow will be up for it this weekend, the Scots always like to beat the English sides and we will have to be right on top of our game if we are going to qualify for the next round," said the England hooker.
"But the good thing is we have our destiny in our own hands now and we can make it to the knock-out stages if we stick to our game plan and give it our all.
Saints coach Budge Pountney added: "This tournament is something special and maybe a good run could lift our season.
"We will not be taking Glasgow lightly. The Scottish sides will always want to come and turn you over and they will try a few cheeky things, but we have players and staff who have been involved with Scotland and we know just what to expect.
"We've started to turn those losses into wins, but we are still involved in these close run games and we really want to be beating teams by a larger margin."
