Sale Sharks - the 2002 European Challenge Cup champions - will meet Connacht in the semi-finals of the 2004 / 2005 tournament in April.
Jason Robinson's team will bid to take the trophy back to Edgeley Park, but face a determined Connacht side in a match that is sure to create fireworks.
The Sharks ended Agen's title bid by going through from the two legs of the quarter-finals with a +14 points difference while Connacht kept Irish interest riding high by winning both legs of their quarter-final against Grenoble.
Pau, despite losing the second leg by a point, won the strictly domestic French affair with Clermont Auvergne with a +3 points advantage and will have another all-French contest against Brive in the prestigious semi-finals with a French club sure to be in the final.
Brive edged through with a +2 points advantage over Sacacens after the second leg match was forced into extra time with the side's deadlocked at the end of normal time.
The European Challenge Cup winner gains automatic entry into next season's Heineken Cup tournament.
A draw will determine the order of home advantage for each pairing. The first leg will be played on 1 / 2 / 3 April and the Second Leg on 22 / 23 /
24 April.
