European Rugby Teams to Observe a Minute's Silence for South-East Asia

ERC have invited the teams competing in the Heineken Cup, European Challenge Cup and European Shield tournaments, to observe a minute's silence prior to this weekend's (7, 8 and 9 January) series of games, in commemoration of the victims of the disaster in South-East Asia and in solidarity with the population in the affected countries.

Jean-Pierre Lux, ERC Chairman, said: "The magnitude of the tragic disaster in South-East Asia has touched us all. ERC, on behalf of our sponsors, clubs and stakeholders, wish to convey our deepest sympathy to the countries in South-East Asia affected by the earthquake and to express our condolences to the families and friends of the victims of this tragedy."
