In England, two times European champions Leicester Tigers are setting the standards in the Guinness Premiership topping the table with 12 points after three rounds following their 42 - 26 victory over the 1998 Heineken Cup winners Bath Rugby. Current English champions London Wasps and Gloucester Rugby are next in the running with 11 points. The league table is currently propped up by Leeds Tyke who have yet to record a championship win this season.
In Italy, Heineken Cup Pool 4 side Benetton Treviso share the lead with European Challenge Cup sides Viadana and Overmach Parma all on 14 points after three weekends of Super 10 action. Pool 2 side Calvisano have 9 points from three games.
Ulster, who lifted the Heineken Cup in 1999, lead the Celtic League with 12 points after three rounds. Their points tally includes four points received for a bye weekend, a new addition to the Celtic League format. No team among the Celtic countries has recorded a 100 percent record with Edinburgh Gunners, Scarlets and Cardiff Blues all on 10 points.
