"It's still a good result for us. We made a lot of mistakes, but we're looking forward to playing Wasps in Toulouse. I think we're in a good position in the pool."
Man of the match Jean Bouilhou added: "We are disappointed because we wanted the victory, but I think this is a good result for us.
"Our forwards had a big game and we were good in defence, but the scrum wasn't very good - that's possibly where we lost the chance to win."
Wasps backrower Lawrence Dallaglio backed his side's decision to go for the draw with a last-minute penalty goal, instead of trying to win.
"It was a 50-50 call," he said. "If you score from the scrum and win the game, it's a good call, but you have to try to get something out of the game in this competition.
"We'll take the two points and try to see how many more we can get. It might end up being the right decision, it might not.
"We've got two points - we're happy enough.
"Our basics let us down at key moments of the game. It was a scrappy game - it was always going to be in these conditions. We looked the stronger pack, but at crucial times of the game, our lineout or giving away a penalty would let us down.
"We know that our game is nowhere near where it should be to win this competition, but we will get better."
Wasps coach Ian McGeechan added: "We'll find out in two months if we made the right decision. It was a great kick from Mark Gisbergen.
"It's the two points we got that might be the difference in the end, rather than the two points we might have got."
