Leinster and Ireland scrum-half Guy Easterby will miss the two opening rounds of the Heineken Cup.
Easterby will be out for at least six weeks after suffering a broken jaw in the Celtic League game against Ulster Rugby last weekend.
Easterby, who has 20 Heineken Cup caps, looks set to miss Leinster's two opening Heineken Cup matches - against Bath Rugby in Leinster's new Heineken Cup venue the RDS and away to Glasgow Rugby on Sunday, 30 October.
The former Scarlets player is also likely to be ruled out of Ireland's autumn internationals.
Leinster will be targeting their Round 3 match at home to Bourgoin as a possible return for the 34 year old scrum-half.
