Wales and Ospreys utility back Gavin Henson has been forced to withdraw from the Wales squad for remainder of the Autumn Test series due to an Achilles injury.
The 2001 IRB Young Player of the Year was not selected for Saturday's match against South Africa due to an ankle injury but it was hoped he would be available for this week's clash with Canada.
A scan earlier in the week has shown that the Achilles injury is more serious than expected and the Ospreys star will now be out of action for at least a month.
"Gavin has now had his injection and will be out of action for approximately one month. He has been given an injury-specific training programme to follow that time, which should provide a resolution to his problem", explained the Wales' physiotherapist.
Ospreys fans will be hoping Henson will be available to the region for their back to back Heineken Cup Round 3 and 4 matches against Benetton Treviso in the early December.
