The former Stade Francais Paris Head Coach and player Fabien Galthié has joined Argentina's national coaching staff as a "technical advisor".
The former scrum half will begin his new role with the Pumas this week ahead of their November campaign against France, Italy and Ireland.
"The opportunity to work with Argentina is a new adventure for me and poses an interesting challenge." said the 39 year-old when confirming the move.
Galthie will bring a lot of experience to the Argentinean set up having participated in four World Cups with France (1991, 1995, 1999, 2003), and lifted a Grand Slam Six Nations trophy in 2002.
The 2002 IRB Player of the Year also won a European Challenge Cup medal with Colomiers in 1998 and later as a coach lead Stade Français to Heineken Cup and Top 14 finals.
Galthie will continue as a Heineken Cup analyst on France 2's coverage of the Heineken Cup.
