Chris Cusiter could be absent from the Perpignan lineup in the back-to-back clashes with Pool 3 leaders Leicester Tigers.
The Scotland international scrum half has been sidelined for around six weeks after injuring his thumb in a 17-6 Top 14 Orange win over Dax.
He will require surgery, and, with Rounds 3 and 4 of the Heineken Cup just over a month away, his participation in the matches at Welford road and then Stade Aime Giral seem unlikely.
Perpignan, beating finalists in the 2003 Heineken Cup are third in the French Championship, and third in Pool 3, following victory in Italy over Benetton Treviso but defeat in Wales to the Ospreys
