Toulouse welcomed back one of their star players, and a double Heineken Cup winner, to league duty last weekend.
Vincent Clerc played for 68 minutes in the Top 14 Orange victory over Mont de Marsan. His side won comfortably, and Clerc said: What a pleasure to be back in the championship and to play again at such a pace! I really enjoyed this come back."
The French international wing had been sidelined for eight months after undergoing surgery to repair damage to his cruciate ligaments on his left knee.
Clerc missed the Heineken Cup final defeat to Munster in May, and missed out on a chance to add to his European titles of 2003 and 2005.
He was a key figure during those campaigns, but as yet, has not figured in this season's competition.
His first opportunity to feature will be in round 5 when Glasgow Warriors travel to the south of France for a match at the Stade Ernest Wallon
Toulouse are currently top of Pool 5 with a perfect record of four wins from four games played. The Pool decider is likely to be against Bath in Round 6, on Sunday 25 January. (15:00)
