Leicester Tigers travel to Perpignan next Sunday looking to cement their position at the head of the Pool 3 standings.
The 2001 and 2002 Heineken Cup winners secured a bonus-point victory over the French club last weekend with a 38-27 victory but head coach Heyneke Meyer knows an improved performance will be necessary if the Tigers are to make it four wins from four.
"We will need to play better than we did on Saturday," said Meyer, who saw his side score four tries but concede three during the victory at Welford Road.
"I thought we played well but we will still need to play better to beat them. It will be a huge task.
"I'm a big believer that every game means you start from scratch. They will definitely lift their game, so we're going to have to lift our game as well. In the Heineken Cup, the guys know that every game is a like a one off. It's like a final so the guys will definitely be up for it over in France."
As well as facing a partisan home crowd in the return fixture in Round 4, Meyer's side are also likely to come up against All Black outside half Dan Carter, the latest star name to join the Heineken Cup ranks.
Media speculation in the lead up to Carter's debut in Perpignan colours has already been huge but Meyer insists his team will not be approaching Sunday's fixture any differently just because of the New Zealander's expected presence.
"Every game is tough in this competition," explained Meyer, who is in his first season of European rugby having previously led South Africa's Blue Bulls to Super 14 glory in 2007.
"Obviously it's difficult going to France and there will be a lot of hype around Carter because he's a world-class player, but in every single game in this tough tournament you face world-class players.
"For me, it's not about one player. It's about playing against a team and focusing on what we're going to do well.
"It will be a different situation and there are things that we need to work on, but there will be a lot of pressure on them to play well.
"For me as a coach, I think my strength is that I don't get sucked into those kinds of things. It's just another game that we need to go out there and win. It will be tough but it's a challenge and we're looking forward to that challenge."
