With the build-up to the Dublin 2013 European club rugby finals intensifying by the day, the four elite clubs of ASM Clermont Auvergne, Toulon, Leinster Rugby and Stade Francais Paris, who are focused on their quest for Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup silverware respectively, won't be the only clubs with Europe on their mind over the weekend of 17 and 18 May.

An independent Disciplinary Committee heard a citing complaint today against Ludovic Valbon, the Brive centre.
An independent Disciplinary Committee heard a citing complaint in Dublin today (Tuesday, 10 April) against Ludovic Valbon, the Brive centre, as a result of a citing arising from the European Challenge Cup quarter-final match against Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade, on Saturday, 31 March.
The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Alan Mansell (England), was for alleged punching / striking - contravention of Law 10.4 (a).
The independent Disciplinary Committee was chaired by Mark McParland (Ireland) and also comprised Peter Brown (Scotland) and George Spotswood (Ireland).
Following an admission of guilt by Mr Valbon, the independent Disciplinary Committee found Mr Valbon guilty of striking Newport Gwent Dragons No 10 Ceri Sweeney and the Committee suspended the player for a period of three weeks up to and including 30 April, 2007. The player was also ordered to pay the costs of the hearing.
Both parties have the right to appeal.
