London Irish table-topping London Irish say they are learning the lesson needed to take the next stage forward in their development by reaching the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup for the first time.
Two bonus point victories have set them up for the double header against pre-competition pool 1 favourites Perpignan, who have had two narrow victories so far.
London Irish's victory at Rodney Parade against the Newport Gwent Dragons was their first away win in the Heineken Cup, with the added bonus of scoring four tries.

"We are delighted with the start having two bonus point wins out of two," admitted coach Toby Booth, whose team face Perpignan at home on Sunday.
"There is still a lot to do and we will not get carried away with ourselves as we have done previously. We have got to make sure we give a good account of ourselves, create our opportunities and we believe if we are clinical we have got a good chance.
"I think if you look at the history of the competition, you have to keep putting yourself there and thereabouts to progress.
"It is probably fair to say that last year we were pretty naïve in this competition and it is, from refereeing to the whole thing, a completely different experience.
"We have a lot of academy lads who have come through the ranks who are learning how to win on the road in big competitions.
"The experience side of their development is something you cannot replicate, you just have to keep putting yourself in those positions to allow yourselves the chance to win.
"I think you saw a less naive performance at Newport and getting to the quarter-finals for the first time is our aim.
"We achieved something by getting to the Heineken Cup two years in succession, that was massive goal that London Irish had not achieved before.
"We want to get to the quarter-finals because that is something else we have not achieved before - the players and the management have set internal goals and thatis what we are aiming to do."
