Gloucester coach Dean Ryan still expects Pool 2 to go to the wire and isn't taking anything for granted despite a full set of points from a tricky away game in France.
His side's 31-7 triumph in Bourgoin means the west countrymen lead the Pool by five points from the Ospreys at the half-way mark.
Andy Titterell's bonus pint try in the last minute of the game made Gloucester's night and keeps them in control of the Pool.
"We stuck very much to script in the first 20/25 minutes and did exactly what we wanted to do. It was the same again in the first 10 minutes of the second half and that effectively killed off the game," said Ryan.
"We endured about three or four different seasons of weather in the space of the game, but I thought our control, composure and execution were the best I have seen for a long, long time.
"We may have overachieved in coming to France and secured maximum points, but I have been in this competition for too long now to think about anything else other than next Saturday's game at Kingsholm.
"We know it will go to the last game in this Pool to decide who goes through. What we have done is give ourselves a fantastic start and something we can really build on."
