Lyle To Leave The Rec And Become A Tiger
5 September 2003, 1:07 pm
Bath Rugby and Dan Lyle have mutually agreed to Dan's release from
his contract with the club and continue his playing career with Leicester Tigers

Commenting on the agreement, Bath Rugby Club stated that Dan had made a major contribution in his seven years at Bath Rugby both on and off the field of play and said: 'Dan captained the side and was great influence with many of the players, helping a number of hem with particular problems with sound advice for which he gained much respect. We would like to formally thank Dan for his time with the club and wish him every success for the future.'

Dan replied: 'The time I have spent with Bath Rugby has been a very special time in my life. To have been received so warmly at the club so early in the professional era is something I will never forget.

'I have made lifelong friends at the club whilst the supporters and the community have always been behind me from day one, and for that I would like to thank them.

'I am very excited about the next chapter in my rugby career taking in as it does the Rugby World Cup in Australia and my primary focus now will be on the USA national team as we enter our final preparations over the next few weeks.'

Bath's European Challenge Cup campaign kicks off in December 5/6/7th when they take italian side I'Aquila
