Trimble commits his future to Ulster Rugby
24 October 2008, 4:03 pm
Ireland centre Andrew Trimble has signed a new two-year contract with Ulster Rugby which will see him stay at Ravenhill until June, 2011.
Trimble has recently been named in Declan Kidney's Ireland squad for the autumn internationals and his signature follows that of Stephen Ferris in committing his future to the Irish province.

Ulster Rugby Head Coach Matt Williams is delighted that his utility back will stay for two more seasons in Belfast.

"Andrew is not only an accomplished rugby player, both at club and international level, but a man of the highest calibre,” said Williams. “He has a natural ability and pace to his game and I'm delighted that he has chosen to give the best years of his career to Ulster.

“He is a player who can naturally fit into different field positions; he is comfortable both at centre and wing, which is great from a coaching point of view as it opens up opportunities and partnerships that may not have been possible otherwise.”

In Round 3 of the Heineken Cup, Ulster Rugby will host the Scarlets on Friday, 5 December (kick-off 8.00 pm).
