Newport Gwent Dragons head-coach Paul Turner was left rueing a missed opportunity after his side's 23-19 Heineken Cup defeat to Perpignan.
Turner was adamant that the result in France was ''four points lost'' rather than a point gained.
He said: ''we looked at these guys and we felt we could upset them in their first game of the tournament, so when you look at the final score we're disappointed.
''I don't care what everyone says about how good they are at home.
''We had a chance to make some history for the Welsh regions over here. Not many teams do well here, but we made too many mistakes at crucial times.
''We're disappointed - we played some good football out there. But the mistakes killed us, and that's something we're going to have to look at.''
