London Wasps coach Shaun Edwards praised his side for delivering "the best performance of the season by far" and claimed it was a tribute to Llanelli legend Ray Gravell.
Before the game Wasps Director of Rugby Ian McGeechan laid a wreath on the halfway line in memory of his former adversary and his side turned in a commanding performance in memory of the great man.
"It had been an emotional week for Llanelli and we talked about showing respect to Ray Gravell by playing some tough rugby with no quarter asked and none given - just the way he used to play, "said Edwards.
"It was out best all round performance of the season against a very good Scarlets team.
"We now have back to back games against Clermont Auvergne to look forward to and it is vital when you play away in Europe that you at least come away with a bonus point."
Heineken Man of the Match Fraser Waters formed a stunning centre partnership with Riki Flutey, with the two men grabbing three of their side's five tries.
"I guess that showed there is still some pace in the old legs yet," said Waters, who was also Man of the Match in last season's Heineken Cup final.
"Shaun had a go at us in training this week for the slow start we had been making in the games this season and I think we got off to a better start this time.
"This is a difficult group to get out of and it was important for us to get off to a good start. So two wins out of two has been great."
