Gloucester coach Dean Ryan heaped praise on his for getting their Heineken Cup off to "an outstanding start" at Ravenhill.
Five tries in 28 blistering minutes saw the Guinness Premiership side race into a 29 points lead at a venue where no English club had won since 2001.
Ryan was pleased with the composure his side showed and delighted at the back play that ripped the Ulster defence to shreds.

"I wasn't surprised by the nature of the way we played. We created every try and we were very clinical," he said.
"I thought Iain Balshaw, Mike Tindall and James Simpson-Daniel were outstanding and the way they created that try from a scrum in our own 22 was fantastic. We talked all week about how Ulster defend with three men at the back and that gave us the chance to exploit the overlap.
"Full credit to Ulster, they fought massively to get back into the game and they scored two tries and had the ball for long periods in the second half.
"But we looked more composed than we have been in previous matches and that was another pleasing aspect of our performance.
"We are a more mature side than we were in the Heineken Cup last season and we have got two players fighting for every position in the side. That means we have greater strength in depth, which is vital for this competition.
"But while we'll enjoy the win, we have to remember this is merely a good start to our campaign. We've got a real firecracker of a game to look forward to against the Ospreys at Kingsholm next week and that will be another huge challenge.
"They are a very good side and the key to progressing in this tournament is winning at home."
