Round 1 - Its a fact

* The 128,587 fans who went through the turnstiles last weekend created a tournament record for Round 1 matches - and the tally is second only to last season's tournament record of 136,965 who watched the 12 Round 2 games.

*When Gloucester Rugby scored their fourth try in the 22nd minute of the 32-14 win over Ulster Rugby at Ravenhill it earned the tournaments' quickest try bonus point. It beat the old mark of 26 minutes jointly set by Leinster at home to Bourgoin and Biarritz Olympique home to Rugby Calvisano in 2004 Pool matches.

* Aurelien Rougerie scored the only try hat-trick in Round 1 - the first by any Clermont player in the 27 tournament matches they have played.

* Glasgow Warriors, Geordan Murphy (Leicester Tigers) and Shaun Payne (Munster) won ERC Elite Awards for 50 tournament matches.

* London Wasps' decision to move their match against 2006 champions Munster to Coventry paid off handsomely as they more than doubled their previous home crowd record with 21,506 going through the Ricoh Arena turnstiles. It is the sixth highest Pool match gate in the tournaments' history.
