The Heineken Cup 2007 / 2008 tournament continues this weekend with the 12 Round 2 matches and here are a few snippets about the weekend.
. * Catch him if you can ... Takudzwa Ngwenya, the USA Eagles wing who famously "skinned" South African superstar and cheetah racer Bryan Habana in the World Cup, is set to make his mark in the Heineken Cup.
The 22-year-old Zimbabwe-born flier, who played for Dallas Athletic in the States, has been registered by Biarritz Olympique as their additional player - and that should set the alarm bells ringing at Biarritz's Pool 4 opponents Saracens, Glasgow Warriors and Viadana.
* Wimbeldon 2006 winner and French tennis star Amélie Mauresmo will do a guest of honour "kick-off" just before the start of Biarritz Olympique's Round 2 Pool 4 clash with Saracens at Parc des Sports Aguilera on Saturday.
She has a house in Anglet near Biarritz and uses the weights room and tennis courts at Aguilerla. The 28-year-old has won 24 titles, including two Grand Slams, Wimbeldon and the Australian Open in 2006.
* The target is set …ERC's broadcast partner Sky Sports have confirmed that Gloucester's record breaking Heineken Cup bonus point try, scored by James Simpson-Daniel, came after 21 minutes and 53 seconds against Ulster Rugby at Ravenhill last Friday night.
That try beat the previous record of 26 minutes by both Leinster and Biarritz Olympique - and Gloucester did it away from home.
Leinster's fourth try in their 92-17 home win over Bourgoin at Lansdowne Road in Round 3 of the 2004 / 2005 Pool matches came from Felipe Contepomi. The Biarritz try scorer was Mickael Etcheverria in their 41-10 home win over Rugby Calvisano the same season.
* The fans are voting with their feet …and the "Full House" signs are set to go up at Heineken Cup clubs across Europe again.
Munster have none of their 13,200 tickets left for their clash with ASM Clermont Auvergne at their "work in progress" Thomond Park and Toulouse and Gloucester Rugby both report they have just a handful of tickets left from their capacities of 19,506 and 16,500 respectively.
It means Gloucester are on course to set a club professional era record home attendance when they play Ospreys on Friday night and beat the 15,500 at this season's Kingsholm clash with Worcester Warriors.
Elsewhere Leicester Tigers expect around 16,000 for their meeting with Edinburgh; Bristol Rugby over 11,000 for the visit of French champions Stade Français Paris and Harlequins close to 11,000 for their match against Cardiff Blues.
* Perpignan will become the 14th team to play 50 Heineken Cup matches when they travel to Italy to meet Benetton Treviso in Round 2 on Saturday.
Those who have already reached the landmark are:
86 - Toulouse
85 - Munster
77 - Leicester Tigers
76 - Llanelli Scarlets
75 - Leinster
70 - Ulster Rugby
69 - Cardiff Blues
61 - Stade Français Paris, London Wasps
60 - Edinburgh
55 - Benetton Treviso
53 - Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque
50 - Glasgow Warriors
