World Cup winning full back Percy Montgomery is scheduled to arrive in Perpignan on Saturday - and could be in line for his club debut in the Heineken Cup Pool 1 trip to London Irish on Sunday, 9 December.
The Springbok ace has been troubled with a knee injury since South Africa lifted the Webb Ellis Cup in Paris last month, Montgomery kicking four penalty goals in their 15-6 victory over England.
And if Montgomery is fit for the clash with the Exiles, that could put in back in immediate opposition to England's Mike Catt as London Irish bid to build on their impressive start to their Heineken Cup challenge of two wins with two try bonus points to boot.
Of course Montgomery is no stranger to the Heineken Cup having scored 29 points in 12 appearances for Newport Gwent Dragons in the 2003 / 2004 and 2004 / 2005 seasons
