Tom Croft will play no part in the Pool 3 showdown with the Ospreys next weekend after Leicester head coach Richard Cockerill revealed the injury he sustained against Viadana will sideline him for five weeks
Croft suffered a reoccurrence of an injury to his left knee midway through the first half of Leicester's 47-8 victory over their Italian opopnents which took the club top of their Pool and Cockerill admitted: "It's a blow for the lad to injure the same knee,"
"While England manager Martin Johnson might be concerned about Tom's Six Nations situation, my only concern is that we won't have him in Swansea (against the Ospreys) next weekend. I have my job to do, Martin has his.
"But 'Crofty' is a world-class player who had not seen action for ages. He needed playing time, so I had no qualms starting him."
The Tigers head to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday for the 13.35 kick off and England get their Six Nations campaign underway against Wales at Twickenham on February 6.
