Kingsley Jones gave his players a mere "five out of 10" for their poor performance in Cardiff, but promised a massive improvement against French giants Toulouse next weekend in their final Pool match.
"We have got to get into work on Monday and knuckle down to try to get back to the standards we set ourselves in December.
We came into this game on the back of five wins in our last seven games, but we were below par and very disappointing," said Jones.
"Any team in the Heineken Cup would have beaten us on today's performance. We came here with a chance of going through into the Heineken Cup quarter-finals, but now we have to hope that others can help us.
"We will be praying that Harlequins can do us a favour in Toulouse on Sunday and we have to play better than this next weekend.
"There weren't too many positives for us and we know that it is unlikely two teams will go through from our Pool. That means we will have to win next weekend and hope Quins can do us a favour in Toulouse.
"They have picked a strong side and have some very good players, so it is not impossible. Toulouse are one of the best teams in the world on their day, but they have shown in the past that if they are a little bit over-confident they can be upset."
