Scottish star Jason White will miss ASM Clermont Auvergne's final two Heineken Cup Pool matches after breaking his leg in a training accident.
The 31-year-old back row man was preparing for the Top 14 clash with Toulon when the injury occurred. He is expected to be out of action for a minimum of three months.
White has already undergone surgery to repair a fractured tibia, but will not only miss the vital Pool 3 games with the Ospreys and Viadana, but has also been ruled out of the entire RBS 6 Nations campaign.
The round 5 fixture against the table-topping Ospreys will be crucial to Clermont's hopes of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the competition. Having lost 25-24 at the Liberty Stadium, they need to make it three wins in a row at home to close the four point gap in the table.
Clermont are currently lying in third place behind the Welsh region and Leicester Tigers with two games left to play.
