Euan Murray is set to miss Northampton Saints' potentially decisive Heineken Cup Round 5 Sunday showdown with Perpignan at Franklin's Gardens on 17 January.
The Scotland and British & Irish Lions prop's religious decision to keep Sundays sacred means he is also in line to miss Scotland's RBS Six Nations clash with France on 7 February.
Saints chairman Keith Barwell has backed Murray's decision ahead of the match against the French champions when the Saints - the reigning Amlin Challenge Cup champions - will be out to strengthen their challenge for Heineken Cup quarter-final qualification.
