Northampton Saints coach Jim Mallinder believes his side could return to Thomond Park in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals and steal the win that just eluded them this time.
With 19 points ther is every chance Saints could go through as one of the two best runners-up, which would mean playing against one of the top two seeds. And one of those teams could be Munster
"On another day we could have won that game. It was an awesome experience playing at Thomond Park, and the players really enjoyed it," said Mallinder.
"I hope we will have the chance to come back and play them again. We've done all we can do now, but if we don't make the quarter-finals, it won't be because of this defeat."
Mallinder praised his forwards for their massive effort, and refused to criticise skipper Dylan Hartley for his choice of going for scrum after scrum on the home line when skipper Paul O'Connell was sent to the sin bin.
"It was the right decision to keep going for the scrums, because the referee said that the next time they collapsed it would be a penalty try. But we needed some points from that situation," said Mallinder.
"We put a lot of pressure on them, but we didn't make it count. We will learn from this and become a better team."
England hopeful Courtney Lawes limped off with cramp before the end, but replacement lock Christian Day was taken to hospital after the game after damaging his neck.
He lost feeling in his arms for a short while, and was down on the ground for four minutes. But Mallinder said: "Things improved before he went to hospital, and they were hopeful he would make a full recovery."
