Danny Cipriani hopes the form showed by him and his Wasps team in Saturday's Amlin Challenge Cup win over Gloucester can carry the Londoners to a double triumph this season.
Cipriani produced a man-of-the-match display in the 42-26 triumph at Adams Park as Wasps kept their European hopes very much alive in the lead up to his much-publicized departure for a new adventure with Super 15 franchise the Melbourne Rebels.
The five-try victory sends Wasps into the last four of the Challenge Cup a week after they beat Play-Off rivals London Irish to move into the top four in the Guinness Premiership.
And with a maximum of seven weeks of the club season left and with their traditional end-of-year form seemingly coming to the fore once more, Cipriani remains confident that he can finish his immediate Wasps career on a real high.
"We set out what we need to do for the rest of the season starting today. Our attack was amazing even though we could have improved our defence," said Cipriani, who was quick to praise those around him despite his personal haul of 17 points.
"Big plaudits should go to Ben Jacobs at the back. It was the first time he'd played full back and he showed some unbelievable skills.
"I thought Steve Kefu directed well at 12. He was a big voice in my ear.
"Week-in, week-out, Dom Waldouck is stepping up like an England centre. We just need to keep going as a backline.
"That's the aim for us - we want two trophies. I know it's a big ask but, especially with guys leaving, we're going to give it our all.
"We just need to keep going forward the way we are doing and it's definitely within our grasp."
As for Cipriani himself, the 22-year-old clearly seems to be back to somewhere near his mercurial best.
After months of criticism and numerous disappointments with his stalling England career, Cipriani is clearly loving his rugby once again.
That's an exciting prospect for Wasps fans hoping to celebrate a European and domestic double by the end of May.
"I'm enjoying what I'm doing over the last couple of games," added Cipriani.
"You go through periods where you enjoy it and where you don't. We do feel blessed and privileged to be able to play rugby as a sport and get paid for it.
"I'm just enjoying playing my last games for Wasps, giving it everything and making sure the fans get as much as they can from me.
"I've been pretty happy with how I've been playing and I'm just going to keep going now until the end of the season.
"Hopefully we'll get Wasps' two pieces of silverware at the end of the year."
